Day 4 | Tauranga

It was an early start this morning as we’re heading to Tauranga to say hi to Rosie’s mum. The weather was perfect yet again.

We had a good run down and had made pretty good time until 5 min before our ETA we see in the rear view mirror those flashing red lights. Dam it. The gift of a speeding ticket!

We were greeted by nana with the most delicious lunch of roast lamb and potatoes grown in her garden. We sat around chatting for the afternoon. We headed out to catch sunset at the Mt which was spectacular.

Dinner was at a Chinese restaurant in the city were they had a large family booking and us. The other party included us in their festivities making for a fun night. Nana even being given a gift by one of them for saying happy new year in Cantonese.

Sadly it was time to say our good byes and head home.

On our drive home we followed a house along the motorway. And two others were going the other way. Not often you follow a house.

Arriving back around 2am.
