Day 6 | Viaduct

Today we caught up with cousin Hannah for lunch at Dr Rudi’s Rooftop Brewing Co at the Viaduct Basin. Great view of the superyachts and people milling about. She’d come up from Hamilton and it was great to catch up, it’s been too long.

Stopped in at Shore City to pick up a few things at Farmers and wow – how small this place feels. Angus and Rosie grew up where this was a huge mall. Very tidy it was though.

Onward to Devonport, such pretty houses and trendy vibe. North Head gave us some great views of the city and the north shore. Watched some amazing kite surfing on a windy Cheltenham Beach and the returning yachts under spinnaker tearing across the harbour.

Dinner was at Denny’s Wairau and a tasty treat. Service and food was great.
